About Me
My name is Fred Wollner, I am a South African cinematographer based in Johannesburg and have been working in the film industry since 2008.
While my focus has been on cinematography since 2012, I have also shot, edited and directed a wide variety of film and television projects. The fact that I have had the opportunity to take on these different roles, has allowed me to understand projects holistically, so I am now able to find the best way to communicate the original vision when I film. I believe that every great shot begins with an understanding of what you are communicating, and why.
